Do you need to take a $450 windsurfing lesson from the windsurf shops?
You DO NEED some windsurf lessons: to know where the wind comes from, so you don't keep falling off your board.
Does it has to cost $450 ?NO, they make you pay $450, because you have to rent the windsurf material(and that's really expensive).
So there is an alternative way?
Yes there is! I took the alternative way!
What is that
way?
I'll
explain it to
you:
When I started with windsurfing, my father didn't wanted to spend money on it because of the following reasons:
- it is too
expensive
- you're
going to quit in a few days
- you'll
need to buy own material and only a board
is already $800 - $2300 (depend which brand)
- Etc...
But I
decided to do it. So I bought a
windsurfing lessonebook with windsurf videos for
almost $90.
I learned a lot of it! Then I bought a complete windsurfingset , on
ebay or
amazone, within some old windsurf
sails
and a windsurfboard,
with a boom,
mast, EVERYTHING
was complete, and
that for only $200 !
Conclusion?
So in total I spend $360 (incl. wetsuit, harnass, shoes, etc...) and I have MY OWN material and I can practice WHENEVER I WANT ! I just load my material in my car and drive to any windsurf spot I want!
Proof?
I taught my sons windsurfing and
they are doing very well. The
